Digital temperature sensors (HACCP)
For food safety applications WNC uses two different digital thermometers:

Infra-red temperature sensor (HACCP and outdoor weather stations)
WNC uses the MLX90614 both for HACCP and outdoor applications. This is a small size infra red thermometer from Melexis, providing an accuracy of ±0.5°C over a wide temperature range. The thermometer supports object temperatures in the range from -70 to 380°C. Download datasheet...

Outdoor temperatur sensor (weather stations)
For the WNC weather stations, both the temperatur and humidity is measured by using the SHT75. This is a combined humidity and temperature sensor from Sensirion providing an accuracy of ±0.5°C and ±1.8%RH . Download datasheet...
The outdoor humidity and temperature sensor is encapsulated into a sun radiation protection shield as shown in the photo on the right.
