Environmental monitoring

Environment monitoring and meteorological observations very often rely on sensors in remote areas where there is limited infrastructure (for example measuring temperature and wind conditions in a mountain area). This makes it difficult to collect measurement data into a central location.

By combining a range of different wireless technologies, solar energy systems, and low power measurement technologies, WNC has developed a system that is well suited for meteorological observations. WNC has integrated sensors for measuring wind, temperature and rain fall (with interface to Geonor rain gauge) into the wireless monitoring system.

The picture on the left shows installations for temperature measurements at Bitihorn, Norway.
