What are the benefits of a wireless system?

The main benefit of a wireless system is the reduced time, cost and complexity of the installation. Simple wired systems become expensive when the cost of installation is taken into account. Some monitoring systems are not installed simply because they become too complicated and interfere too much with the ongoing operational activity.
Wireless systems are more flexible in nature and are much easier adapted to a change in the infrastructure or reconfiguration of the monitored equipment or process. Wireless monitoring systems are also a must where wired solution simply is not feasible, for example in the transport business where the equipment to be monitored is moving objects.
